Poor Anger Management has big Consequences
I spoke with a client today who was desperate to find a way to pay for his anger management classes. In fact he offered to file documents, and wash my car in exchange for services. I can’t blame a guy for asking but there are inherent conflicts in bartering for services. What is interesting about this tragedy is that the client is a former lawyer, intelligent and by all apperances repentant. Nevertheless in a struggling economy he has not been able to find work. The court is to say the least unsympathetic to his plight.
Another client has successfully finished our anger management course but upon completion she announced that she would be moving out of the state because the felony she received due to rage has made it impossible for her to find work locally.
Not all of our clients are felons but many come to us after the justice system has spit them out. Only if they would have called us prior to loosing control.
Loss of employment and legal problems are only a couple of the negative consequences that can come from having anger management issues.
The number one reason clients seek anger management help is due to a loss of a relationship. Many of our clients have suffered great damage to their relationships due to anger outburst toward a family member or friend.
It is often easier to repair a career or leagal woes than a destroyed relationship between child and parent or husband or wife.
