From Wedding Gown to Prison Jumpsuit.

A woman in Hixson Tennessee, who just got married at the beginning of this month, will probably end up spending her first few months as a new bride in jail. Mia Cunningham was convicted in July for assault that happened earlier in April when she got in an argument with another person and ended up driving her car into the other person’s vehicle. Cunningham was given a suspended sentence of 11 months and ordered to pay $700 in restitution as well as being ordered to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes. However the counseling center where she was supposed to complete the classes informed the court that she had yet to complete a single session. Just a few weeks after her and her fiancé applied for their marriage license she was re-arrested for failing to appear for even a single class. Her anger problems already cost her $700; now failing to take care of her anger problems is costing her freedom, as well as the first several months of her new marriage.
