The 27 year old R&B singer was arrested Friday October 1st in Baltimore for the alleged attack of his mother. According to TMZ his mother, a former heroine addict claims Mario pushed and shoved her on two occassion as well as damaging property. Mario Dewar Bennett a former Dancing with the Star contestant was arrested for 2nd degree assault. He was released on $50,000 bond.

Drug abuse in a family can strain relationships nevertheless there is no excuse for violence. A bond between a child and parent is sacred and can be repaired through appropriate treatment if both parties are willing.
