Double Time
I snapped this picture as I exited the bank on Friday.
In this day and age it is rare to see a Dad take on the role of caretaker of one child not to mention two.
Did you notice the leash wrapped around the twins?
We need more men and more fathers to grab a hold of their sons.
We underestimate the role of a father in the life of a child. A father acts as a child’s strength and protector until the child is old enough and strong enough to protect himself. I have talked to many angry clients who hold contempt for their Dad’s. Either our Dad’s were not present or his prescence caused us pain.
A father is a teacher, a disciplinarian and a friend. When he is gone we often loose our way.
We have no control over who our biological fathers may be; But if you find yourself fatherless it is up to you to find a man you can trust, someone who dispenses sound advice, someone who will tell you the truth.
It is also our responsibilty to be available to those who need a father. You may have a son of your own, and find it hard to spend quality time with him. I understand, but if you are honest with yourself you will admit that the state of our youth today may require a little double time. Check out this link if you feel me.
