October 9, 2007

Daybreak Counseling Service- South is our newest anger management education center planted in the city of Long Beach, California. We are up to five active members in our group. Stories like the one below tells me we may need to add a few chairs.

A Long Beach woman was stabbed during a fight with another female early Sunday morning.

The dispute began inside a business on the corner of South Street and Paramount Boulevard at about 2 a.m., said Long Beach Police Department officer Jason Evans.

A verbal disagreement escalated into a physical altercation when they went outside, and the suspect stabbed the 30-year-old woman in the upper body.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Police continue to search for the suspect, who was described as a black female, about 24 years old, standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds.

Anyone with information is urged to call LBPD Violent Crimes Detail at (562)570-7250.
