Anger Management Class closing in Compton?
Angry people are hurting people and all hurting people do not have the means to get help.
Although Daybreak Counseling Service makes an effort to keep its fees reasonably priced we do not have the funding to offer free classes. That is why it is a public concern that the Compton Unified School District has propsed to to close the Compton Adult School Program for the 2011-2013 school years.
Included in a resolution for balancaing the budget “The Board of Trustees approves the closure of the Adult Education Program. Several Court Ordered programs which include Parenting, Domestic Violence and Anger Management Classes are offered through Compton Adult Education.
Daybreak Counseling Service has made numerous anger management referrals to Compton adult school for indigent clients. This closure could mean jail time and prison time for many homeless, unemployed parents and young adults who can not afford services.
To support this community service you can voice your concerns to the Board of Trustees Of the Compton Unified School District by attending a meeting on Tuesday, November 9th 2010 at 5pm. The office is located at 501 S. Santa Fe Ave. Compton CA. 90220
